Apart from writing and performing, Len also plays guitar in an acoustic duo with Sophie Barker (www.sophiebarker.com) who, apart from singing with Zero 7, is a brilliant solo singer and songwriter in her own right.
Len (a.k.a. Leonard Ng "but I'm tired of telling people how to pronounce my last name") is a singer/songwriter/guitarist/pianist/bassist and occasional producer. Born and raised in Singapore, he played in bands there, but then ended up travelling extensively around the world, playing music, writing and teaching to fund his habit, learning new things along the way, from places, people (even though…), books, teachers, Life. Eventually, almost by default, he found himself in London where he has made music ever since. The music covers a lot of ground, from fluttery beats to all out guitar-based rock, but the constant factor is Len's focus on "the song"; one will not find long, meandering songs going nowhere. He readily admits that he is quite obsessed with "that perfect structure" for his songs.
